Just two days before Rambarat, a dilapidated house collapsed in Phulatti Bazaar of the old city. A laborer standing on the balcony died after falling down, while three people got buried under the debris. Neighbors and other laborers took them out and saved them. The building owner was getting this dilapidated house demolished after receiving the notice from the Municipal Corporation.
The accident occurred near a pickle shop in Phulatti Bazaar at 1:30 pm on Wednesday night. Rinku Verma, the owner of this dilapidated house situated on the route of Rambarat, was getting it demolished after receiving the notice from the Municipal Corporation. Pappu Kashyap, a resident of Garhi Chandni, Etmaddaula, was demolishing a dilapidated house along with his colleagues, when the laborer standing on the balcony fell down due to the collapse of the balcony. He died after being buried under the debris.
